Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today: A knife attack in Phoenix on Thursday has left one man dead and two women injured, according to police. Authorities report that 46-year-old Jeffrey Matteson was killed in the attack; one woman is in stable condition and a second woman was treated for a minor injury on the scene. 29-year-old Rodrigo Zamora Valenzuela has been arrested and booked into Maricopa County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. (Phoenix Patch)A Colorado family-owned business is making its way to the Valley with a hard seltzer taproom. Elevated Seltzer, which recently opened near 7th Street and Bethany Home Road, is a taproom that also has a restaurant. According to founder and CMO Warren Wood, all Elevated Seltzer drinks are gluten-free, 100% natural, and GMO-free, and contain zero sugars and zero carbs. (ABC 15) Early Friday morning, a fire at a Phoenix apartment complex destroyed four units as well as several cars. Video footage from the scene near 12th Street and Maryland Avenue showed widespread, quick-moving flames that eventually caused part of the parking shelter to collapse. Although six people lost their homes, no injuries were reported; as of Friday evening, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. (AZ Family) Today in Phoenix: Something Rotten At Phoenix Theatre (7:30 PM) From my notebook: Phoenix police have issued a silver alert for an 80-year-old Phoenix woman who has been missing since Sunday. Roberta Louise Braden was last seen near the intersection of South 31st Way and East Caldwell Street, in South Mountain Park. Braden is yet to be found as of Friday evening.
