From the City of Largo: It's time to come up with your new year's resolutions and if you put fitness or getting healthy at the top of your list, you're in luck. Largo Recreation has a ton of exciting fitness programs to get you on track. New Year, New You Fitness ChallengeFirst, kick off your 2020 with our New Year, New You Fitness Challenge. This challenge will give participants a month's worth of free fitness classes, weekly weigh-ins, healthy recipe recommendations, at-home exercise tips and more. Plus, the first place man and woman win a year-long RecFit Unlimited Pass, and the second place man and woman win a 6 month RecFit Unlimited Pass. Cost is just $20 for current members and $40 for non-members. Join us for a motivating intro meeting on Jan 2: Community Center at 1pm, Southwest Rec at 5pm and Highland Rec at 6:30pm. RecFit UnlimitedOur new RecFit Unlimited pass gives you unlimited access to our Fitness Centers and eligible fitness classes at Community Center, Southwest Rec , and Highland Rec for just $40 a month on auto-debit or $50 month to month. No activation fees as long as you are already a member with us. Functional Training Center at HighlandOpening January 2, Highland is excited to introduce its new Functional Training Center, which is included in paid fitness center daily admission or pass. This area of Highland will have new equipment such as: dumbbells, kettlebells, a battle rope station, stability and medicine balls, recovery foam rollers, Smart Straps bodyweight training system, strength bands, smart core wheel, jump ropes and extreme foam plyobox 6,12,18. A t-shirt and goody bag are guaranteed for all preregistered runners. Post race refreshments and water will be available.
