We are looking for a qualified individual with a strong work ethic to join our team at Community Compounding Pharmacy as a full-time (30 - 40 hours/week) Assistant Manager in our Fulfillment Department. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing specialty mailings, processing regular prescription shipping, dealing with processing problems, scheduling staff for the department, training new staff, and providing support for other personnel processes. Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Primary Responsibilities: ● Oversee the processing of specialty mailings, to include FedEx and Next Day Express ● Handle regular prescription mailings, to include charging credit cards, calling patients, sending emails with receipts, packaging prescriptions, and tracking the packages ● Handling and resolving issues that arise related to expired or otherwise invalid credit cards ● Dealing with prescription problems which delay shipping, such as bad addresses ● Filing formula sheets and hard copies ● Tacking packages to the post office, when necessary ● Serving as a support for training new staff ● Scheduling staff to adequately meet the department’s needs ● Assist in the approval of staff timecards ● Document refrigerator temperatures for regular prescriptions; appropriately store drugs with specific alternate ranges appropriately and document the ranges Qualifications: ● Experience working in a shipping department for at least three months required; serving in a lead capacity is preferred. ●Current Oregon Pharmacy Technician License or Certified License preferred ● Experience in a pharmacy environment preferred ● Prior supervisory experience of any kind is preferred. Required Skills and Abilities: ● Ability to adhere to ethical standards of conduct as well as applicable state and federal laws ● Ability to attend work regularly; punctual and reliable except for protected leave utilized ● Strong analytical and critical thinking skills ● Ability to provide and engage in effective and professional written, oral, and non-verbal communication with colleagues at all levels in the organization ● Ability to follow detailed directions both verbal and written ● Must work well within a team environment ● Must possess a strong work ethic ● Strong ability to multitask with efficiency ● Excellent organizational skills Typical Physical Demands: Requires frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, grasp, move, control or feel objects. The role generally involves sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer. Also requires, bending, twisting, and reaching. Repetitive movements are an integral part of the role. Good vision is required to accurately process orders, etc. May require lifting up to 50 pounds, on occasion. Occasional driving is required.
