WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington has coronavirus cases at nursing homes, again, Health Director Shelly Newhouse told the Board of Selectmen, Monday. The town has 10 community cases as well as a "few" cases at nursing homes. Newhouse did not give an exact number. In April, there were dozens of coronavirus-related deaths at the town's nursing homes, but in recent months the town's cases have been a relatively steady number of community cases, generally around 10. "They're doing well," Newhouse said of the nursing homes, but "They're worried. Here it comes again, the second wave." A representative of AdviniaCare at Wilmington said they do not have any active positives, Thursday. The town is hosting a flu clinic Saturday, in hopes of avoiding a simultaneous new coronavirus wave and severe flu season. Residents can sign up for the drive-through Town Hall clinic here.
