Warehouse Delivery Driver/Helper for a Remodeling Company located in New York City is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible team player as a full-time experienced Warehouse Driver. In this role, you'll be responsible for: • Delivering Material to and from the warehouse located in the Bronx to various jobsites. • Daily loading and unloading of delivery truck. • Delivering of products in timely manner. • Experienced in NYC, Brooklyn, Bronx and New Jersey Road patterns and roads. • Ensure that proper maintenance is performed on the van and reports any mechanical or safety problems to management. • Follow regularly assigned routes and schedules. • Report any incidents or accidents to management immediately. • Always maintain a safe atmosphere on the vehicle. • Abide by the parking regulations. • Drive safely and obey all traffic laws. • Handle all deliveries with care as items maybe fragile. • As warehouse helper works in a support role in a warehouse environment. • They ensure that incoming items are received according to the company’s protocols and that packages are prepared for shipping purposes. • They are also responsible for ensuring that the warehouse is kept orderly and clean and that materials in a warehouse are adequately secured. • Obtain work orders from supervisors and chart out daily activities. • Check-in materials and match purchase orders with received items. • Move items from the receiving pallet to storage areas using forklifts or pallet jacks. • Ensure that items are appropriately placed on shelves and racks according to their types and sizes. • Match pulled pieces with work orders to ensure accuracy. • Ensure that items are not damaged or broken. • Report any damaged items to the supervisor immediately. • Physically move orders from storage areas to packing areas. • Handle packing activities such as putting items in boxes or crates and labeling them correctly. • Move packaged items to the delivery pallet and load them onto delivery trucks. • Make sure that packaged items are properly and securely placed in the delivery truck. This is a full time (M-F, 8a-5p) position located in the Bronx, no working remotely. Knowledge, Abilities, & Skills Required: • Minimum of 3 years driving experience. • Valid driver license with clean driving record. • Must be able to safely operate and drive a van. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication. • Ability to maintain a safe atmosphere on the vehicle at all times. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to climb in and out of van multiple times per day. • Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, crouch and stretch. • Must be able to move, push, load and unload items. • Must be able to sit for long periods. • Must be able to speak clearly and communicate well. • Must be able to walk up and down stairs as necessary to deliver items. • Vision must be sufficient that the driver is not restricted in the performance of duties day or night.
