Wilmington Reports 141 Active Coronavirus Cases

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington has 141 active positive coronavirus cases and over 350 residents in quarantine for potential exposure, the Health Department reported Sunday. The town's case count nearly doubled over two weeks, from 75 active cases on Nov. 15. The town has not had this many active cases since early April, the peak of the outbreak at the AdviniaCare nursing home. The Health Department reported 100 cases Nov. 23 and 115 Friday. Health Director Shelly Newhouse predicted that the town will see "lots of cases these next two weeks from the holiday." "Lots of spread within households," she noted.
