A little course on all things Skin Care using Herbal remedies, Tools, and Self Love. Come join Community Herbalist & Self Care Enthusiast Kelly Kehl - for a fun hands on Skin Care course where she will be covering both Internal and External Applications using Herbal Medicine. Learn how the Liver plays an important role in Skin health, as well as Hormones, the Gut, and Lymphatic system. We will Briefly cover physiology and anatomy of these body parts but mainly focus on external practices like Oil Cleansing, Oils/Serums, Face (Body) Mists, Balms, and even go over an array of tools for diffrent skin types. This will be a 2 hourish Informative Workshop, so be prepared to either take notes or get your hands and face smothered in skin care goodness. Kelly will go over certain herbal preperations to aid in acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, wound treatment / as well as ways to embrace and slow signs of aging. We will also talk about the importance of touching the skin, and cover simple at home Gua Sha Techniques to reduce puffiness, sculpt and define the jaw/cheekbones, relieve muscle tension in face and neck, along with so much more. >> At the end of the workshop you will get to make and take home an 8 ounce jar of herbs (of your choice) infused in Jojoba Oil, where it will extract for as littla as 4 weeks and then you may strain and use on your body all summer (comes with directions)! We will go over the herbs available to use and their many different medicnal and skin loving properties/benefits. *This will also include a very simple brochure on herbs/foods for both external and internal support, as well as information and resources for practicing natural skin care at home. Kelly will provide sterilized Gua Sha Tools to borrow during the workshop, however I encourage you bring your own or purchase one from the array of Stones for sale at the Apothecary. There is very limited space and for the safety and comfort of everyone attending this workshop it is only available for women, femmes, trans, and non-binary folx (unfortunately no cis men).
