Description

Real women. Real Girls. Real Stories to inspire better understanding, true compassion, meaningful conversation and impactful change. The See the Girl Monologues brings to the stage the real, raw stories of girls and women who will share their personal narratives - their true, lived experiences with the education, social services, justice, and legal systems. Their stories will promote a greater understanding of their unique challenges, provide a clearer picture of where the systems failed them, and provoke honest conversation about how we can unite to enact meaningful policy and practice changes to improve the fair treatment, safety, and well being of girls and women in our community. The performance will be followed by a community discussion where we will begin to explore solutions and action steps to change our community for the better. SEATS ARE LIMITED, REGISTER NOW TO SECURE YOUR SPOT. Presented with funding from the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, Partnership for Child Health, and Cummer Family Foundation, and in partnership with Narratives for Change, Babs Labs, American Children's Campaign, Robert Arleigh White & Associates, and Moving the Margins. 5-6pm : light hors d'oeuvres, and viewing the Corner Gallery Exhibition by artist and Monologues participant, Erin Kedrick 6-7pm : Experience the Monologues live on stage 7-8pm : Panel discussion
