The word “tend” comes from the root term, which means making or causing something to happen in Swahili; it's an imperative that tells you what needs to be done NOW! Our goal at The Tendaji Awards this year will be to showcase those amazing people who have shown resilience within their field and community by committing themselves to "Make Things Happen" even when they were against all odds.
