Description
Western Massachusetts natives Lunelle and YouthYear return from Nashville for a special night of music Lunelle and YouthYear grace our Divine Theater stage for a special sneak peek event that will showcase music from their upcoming releases. Featuring opener and longtime friend Grayson Ty. Lunelle is the stage name of Gabbi Lunardini, a Nashville based alt-pop artist and songwriter originally from Western Massachusetts. Growing up in the early 2000’s on Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Avril Lavigne, Gabbi quickly fell in love with female powered pop music— and the dream of doing it herself. It wasn’t long before that dream became a reality, and listening to her favorite CDs every day after school and performing to the walls of her bedroom, led her to playing shows all over the east coast and selling out hometown venues. Simultaneously she crafted her sound through vibrant vision boards, honest lyrics, and ethereal vocals, and the vision for Lunelle was born. In 2020 she took that vision even farther and moved to Nashville, bringing her colorful dreamworld with her. Soon after arriving, she teased a dream-pop cover of Taylor Swift’s, ‘Fearless’ that she started in her bedroom. It wasn’t long before it gained traction on TikTok and became her very first indie release, with almost 700,000 streams across streaming platforms. It took on a momentum of its own and was organically added to Spotify’s editorial playlists, ‘Fresh Finds’ and ‘softly’ as well as nearly 21,000 listener’s personal playlists, all without a label. With a growing following and eager fans, she is currently writing and recording her debut EP with producer & songwriter Eric Paquette (Lit, YOUTHYEAR). Combining warm synths, loud guitars, and dreamy vocals, she is crafting a collection of songs that make you want to lay on the floor and cry, drive through the city at night, call out your ex, and rock out and dance with your best friends all at once. Complicated feelings, ex-lovers, friendships, and self-discovery are weaved into lyrics that make you feel understood in this crazy world. Lunelle is set to launch her first single this year. YOUTHYEAR is the moniker of Eric Paquette, a Nashville-based artist, songwriter, and producer hailing from Western Massachusetts. Having written and played his first songs and shows by the time he was 12, the DIY punk rock attitude has been with Eric since the start. Skate parks, VFW’s, youth halls, and basement shows turned into club shows, tours, SXSW, and sharing the stage with acts such as The 1975, The Misfits, Jimmy Eat World, 311, My Chemical Romance, Imagine Dragons, AWOLNATION, The All-American Rejects, ?uestlove, and Panic! At The Disco among many others. Just like he taught himself how to write songs at an early age, Eric learned how to record and produce music on his own and uses that skill to write for film, tv, and to collaborate with other artists. RCA recording artist KULICK launched his career with Eric’s song “Ghost”, which charted on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs and was featured in the World Cup. Eric has gone on to create music featured on MTV, VH1, USA, A&E, Netflix, ESPN, Fox and NBC Sports, The Voice and most major television networks. Alongside close writing and production partner Carlo Colasacco (Shinedown, Shy Carter, One Ok Rock), the two spent 2021 co-writing and co-producing the new album from iconic 90s rock band Lit, whose multi-platinum hit single “My Own Worst Enemy” is still in iHeart radio's top 10 rock songs and in constant rotation. The new album Tastes Like Gold drops spring 2022 and Rock Cellar Magazine calls the first single “Yeah Yeah Yeah” a “crowd pleasing-anthem” and credits the song as “bringing back the 90s”. Loudwire quotes the sound as “finding a good marriage between the classic sound of 1999 with a modern production vibe”. Having been heavily inspired by ‘90s and 2000s rock, YOUTHYEAR’s upcoming debut EP and sound is exactly that: a collection of post-party/post-relationship songs with elements of nü-school pop-punk, 90s nostalgia, hip-hop, and alternative rock. It all started with a song called “Wake Up”, written about self-sabotage and struggling with sobriety. With the juxtaposition of a happy melody blended with grungy guitars and a Dr. Dre style beat, it feels so much like a party anthem, that you might miss the darker undertones. Carlo and Eric wrote and produced the EP together and brought on Grammy-nominated producer Pete Nappi (GAYLE, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Kesha, Iann Dior, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park) for an upcoming single. YOUTHYEAR is set to release the first single “21 Ways My Life Is Great”, an up-beat, alt-rock, “so glad it’s finally over” breakup song that captures the explosive joy of finally being free of a toxic relationship. GRAYSON TYWestern Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter Grayson Ty has mastered the art of vulnerability. Entirely unpretentious, his stage presence is easy, genuine, and unguarded.
