North East Rivian Club May 2022 Meetup Hey there Rivian Fam, As the owners community finally grows on a nationwide scale for Rivian Owners we also endeavor to create the local chapter of the North East Rivian Club (NERC). We are having our first meet & greet/show & tell kick off event. If you have your own Rivian please come early by 10:40am and if you do not yet have your Rivian and just want to meet others in the community and see vehicles in person come at 11am! We will be using the parking lot of the family friendly Brewport Brewing Company in Bridgeport, CT (close to ferries and I-95 ) where you can grab some good eats and brew. We look forward to seeing everyone. The event is FREE but we want to give back to the community and will ask for a small $5 contribution to be donated to a TBD local charity group involved with the environment and/EV evolution. Fellow Rivian owners and lovers, just a note for those of you that are attending: We are excited to get everyone to meet but we do have some critically important notes to make sure we create a positive environment and a positive experience for the Brewport Brewery. Parking: Brewport management has given us the green light to utilize their parking lot across Warren St. We have 4 R1Ts confirmed for the meetup on Saturday and we expect the number to increase as word spreads! We will be attempting to get all of the R1Ts parked together to make viewing logistics easy. Please feel free to dress up your R1T with your gear, bikes,tents, etc. to display the utility of the R1T.Brewport opens at 12:00, Please do not impede traffic and other brewery patrons access to the main parking lot. We ask that everyone come hungry and slightly thirsty to patronize Brewport for allowing us use of their space. The first hour will be all about the trucks, then when they open the breweries outdoor area at 12:00, most of the time should be spent on the patio chatting, while consuming food and drink from Brewport. We want to be able to have people rotate over to see the Rivians and this will give owners a chance to grab a bite and beer as well. We are planning on 2 hours so there should be enough time for everyone to see the trucks and of course people can stay as long as they want. The weather looks exceptional!!We anticipate a massive response, due to this we ask for the Rivian Owners to not do test rides and will be limiting access to the interiors of the vehicle to make sure that everyone has a chance to see the vehicles and to limit possible damage to the R1Ts. Visitors, please remember these are all privately owned, they are not test drive or Rivian owned units. The main goal for Saturday is to meet other individuals from the Rivian community and to create a positive experience with Brewport Brewery. Please note pets are not allowed due to CT dept of health rules. We invite all owners, pre-order holders and RIVIAN enthusiasts from NY, NJ, CT, RI, NH, MA, ME, VT, PA, and from Rivian Stories, Rivian Forums, Rivian Owners Forum, Facebook Rivian Automotive Fans and Facebook Rivian Owners North America. Attendees-Please be sure to RSVP so we can give Brewport an estimate of how many people to expect as soon as they open.
