Ready to dig in the dirt, rip out weeds, and put your hands to good use? Volunteers are needed to help maintain the butterfly and hummingbird garden at Dennis Johnston Park. The pollinator garden was installed by the Spring Creek Education Society. Our goal is to have a well-maintained native garden dedicated to enhancing pollinator education. Help us with regular maintenance so that the garden may be aesthetically pleasing, yet still provide habitat and food sources for both pollinating insects and birds. Tools will be provided. Please wear outdoor appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle. Ages 16+ welcome.
