The Paul Wagner Trio will play a set of live jazz on the grounds of the historic Schweikher House. Back by popular demand! The Paul Wagner Trio will play an outdoor jazz concert at Schweikher House. For just $20 per person, guests can bring their chairs, blankets, coolers (BYOB) & snacks to the historic Schweikher House in Schaumburg and enjoy some Friday night jazz on the lawn. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged! Attendees may arrive between 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm, explore the grounds, set up chairs and blankets, enjoy a beverage, get comfortable and ready for live, in-person music. The Paul Wagner Trio will play from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Wagner has been playing the saxophone since 2007 and has been active in DePaul University's jazz program, the Chicago jazz scene, and educating young saxophone players. Wagner has performed at the prestigious Green Mill with Jim Trompeter's jazz combo and at Symphony Center for DePaul's annual gala dinner. Throughout his musical journey, Wagner has studied with Scott Burns, Chris Madsen, and Andy Oberhausen. Some of Paul's greatest musical influences are Joe Henderson, Sonny Stitt, Ahmad Jamal, Michael Brecker, John Coltrane, Marvin Gaye, Joshua Redman, and Thad Jones. This show will consist of songs throughout Wagner's journey into music and which have also encouraged his musical development. Growth and nostalgia: we are the sum of our experiences.
