Rumney Together is an intimate, homegrown-grassroots inclusive climbing festival and meetup with a focus on underrepresented communities. OverviewAMC chapters from the northeast are coming together to host a community climbing festival and meetup at Rumney Rocks that is inclusive of ALL climbing members and at no cost to participants (camping is not included but grants are available to those in need). Rumney Together will be capped at 80 attendees to foster meaningful discussions, bonding, and networking among our attendees. The AMC, along with other climbing organizations and partners, will host climbing clinics both Saturday and Sunday offering affinity groups and all-inclusive climbing opportunities for FREE. However, you must pre-register for each activity. Along with clinics, there will be other activities to help build community such as fireside chats, yoga, meetup, a dinner social, games, and more.  Rumney Together will be held at Rumney Rocks and at the AAC Rattlesnake Campgrounds. Weekend ScheduleOur weekend schedule may change. In the event that it does, you'll be the first to know. Friday:  4:00pm: Check-in4:45pm: RCA Rumney Crag Tour6:00pm: Meet & Greet Social8:00pm: Community BonfireSaturday: 8:00am - 8:30am: Land acknowledgment and blessing ceremony8:30am - 3:00pm: Clinics. Both affinity and non-affinity clinics will be offered. Duration will vary based on the clinic.4:00pm: AcroYoga at the AAC campground5:00pm: Pizza & Beer hosted by The Last Chair Brewery and sponsored by Black Diamond.7:00pm: Fireside Chats hosted by athletes, ambassadors, and partners. Topics range from various issues affecting historically underrepresented communities or provide an opportunity to connect with other climbers and organizations within our climbing communities.8:45pm: Reel Rock 16 screening.Sunday: 7:00am - 8:00am: Yoga or Injury Prevention Warmup8:15am - 9:00am: In observance of Juneteenth, we will be hosting a climber's breakfast. This breakfast is open to all climbing community participants.9:00am - 3:00pm: Clinics. Both affinity and non-affinity clinics will be offered. Duration will vary based on the clinic. Crag stewardship with Access Fund. Festival & Clinics RegistrationThanks to our generous partners and sponsors, all clinics and workshops at Rumney Together will be free. Registration is a two-step process. 1. If you haven't done it already. Head over to AMC's Activities Database (ActDB) and register yourself for the festival. Your ActDB will also serve as a blanket waiver for all activities during Rumney Together. 2. Register for the clinic of your choice on this Eventbrite page by clicking tickets and the clinics are listed below the camping pass. Remember, you can only attend one clinic per day. AccommodationsRumney Together has exclusively reserved the AAC Rattlesnake Campgrounds from Friday (6/17) through Sunday (6/19) for festival participants. For those who wish to camp with us, the weekend pass is $24. The price is the same for one night or both. Grants are available for those who need them, please contact us for details. AAC Rattlesnake is a primitive campground, meaning there are no showers or traditional bathrooms. Portable Toilets will be available. Additional information about the campgrounds can be found here. Alternative accommodations are available at the Barn Door Hostel, which is located 2 miles from AAC Rattlesnake. They have shared rooms, private rooms, and hammock lofts. You can book directly through Barn Door Hostel. Camping at the AAC Rattlesnake is not required to attend, but to manage capacity and limit our impact, those who are camping will be given first priority for clinic registrations. Food & BeveragesFor those who are camping with us at AAC Rattlesnake, you'll receive a voucher for 1 personal pizza & 1 beverage on Saturday evening after the clinics. Participants should plan on bringing their own meals for the entirety of the festival as meals are not included with the exception of campers who'll be receiving a voucher for 1 personal pizza & 1 beverage on Saturday evening. If you're a hearty eater, you can purchase additional pizzas and beverages. Alternatively, you can bring your own or support the local establishments at Rumney. Potable water from a spigot will be available by the Barnhouse. ParkingParking is limited at the campground and at Rumney Rocks, please carpool if you can. If you're camping with us at the AAC Rattlesnake, you'll receive a parking pass when you check-in. If you're not camping, but attending the clinics, you'll get one when you check in on your first day.
