Y'all are getting way too stupid and careless while driving your vehicles. 3 times this year, I almost got hit by one of y'all stupid careless drivers, plus another one of you last year. 2 were at the San Leandro, CA WalMart exit driveway. I was on foot with my carts and I stopped at the edge of the driveway to give you a chance to leave first, since you'll go faster than I will. After a minute or 2 passed, and the street traffic was still moving, I decided to cross the driveway so I wouldn't be waiting all day for a lull that might be a long time coming. Halfway by, 2 of you stepped on the gas and were inches from hitting me. You said sorry whether you meant it or said it hoping you wouldn't get in trouble for such stupidity. The same thing with 1 backing out of a Safeway parking space and another 1 backing out of their home driveway and blowing right by me. All y'all came very close to hitting me. How would you have felt if you had hit me? At least, how would you feel if you got in huge legal trouble if you had hit me? Since when do people pull out into traffic when cars are still coming? If you're looking left instead of watching for pedestrians, why didn't it occur to you that cars are still coming and you don't enter the street unless it's clear and safe? And why didn't it occur to you that even if I wasn't there, that you still would have ended up hitting a car who had the right of way if you had pulled out into traffic? This is 4 close calls too many. If you're gonna drive a vehicle, then it's on you to watch where we pedestrians are going. Careless drivers hurt and kill pedestrians all the time so watch what you're doing and watch where I'm going. Be grateful you're able to drive and stop putting us in danger.
