The College Inn is seeking a Room Attendant to join our team. Candidate must have a positive service attitude and enjoy being with the public and take great pride in their work. The Room Attendant cleans and prepares guest rooms by meeting high standards of cleanliness to ensure guest satisfaction. We are looking for a person who can excel in the role and who is committed to delivering excellent experiences for guests. ABOUT US The College Inn is a friendly, family-owned boutique hotel located in the University District of Seattle. Our historic hotel was built in 1909, and it is the oldest hotel in Seattle. We have 27 guest rooms, and a great location on the Seattle campus of the University of Washington. CORE JOB DUTIES: Remove and replaces dirty towels and bedding with clean product Cleans and sanitizes all areas of the guestrooms, bathrooms, and hotel common areas Restocks linens and supplies Vacuum, dust, and mop STATUS: Part-time SCHEDULE: Two Days per week. Monday and Tuesday preferred. Approximately 7-10 hours per day, starting at 9:15AM. RATE OF PAY: $19 per hour, plus annual bonus QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: General cleaning principles, safe use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment. Skills and Ability to: Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform all required cleaning duties. Maintain a neat and clean appearance to represent the hotel positively. Attention to detail and thoroughness to ensure room cleanliness standards are maintained. Manage one’s time to meet productivity standards. Communicate effectively with guests and co-workers in order to accurately receive and convey information. Work holidays as required. Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency. Must have reliable transportation. Education and Experience: Six months previous housekeeping or related experience is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Position requires ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours and physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs; operation of vacuums weighing up to 25 lbs., lifting and moving heavy furniture, partially lifting mattresses weighing up to 155 lbs. and pushing a housekeeping cart weighing up to 75 lbs. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push, pull, reach, grasp and see.
