Hello, I ripped out the ceiling and walls of my single story house in Elk Grove. This is my home, where I live. Some of the walls were reinstalled and then the contractor quit. Looking for an experienced, reliable contractor to finish the job quickly at a reasonable price. Must be sober, not stoned or high, show up on time regularly, communicate with me well. Chemical sensitivity is a problem for me. For that reason I have chosen a specific type of drywall. I also purchased a non toxic sealer specially made for drywall. The back of every piece of drywall is already coated with it. When you are done you will coat the front with it too. This is an extra step intended to preserve the air quality in my house. Otherwise the house will smell like drywall for months. All drywall stinks and unfortunately even the drywall that I bought stinks a little bit. More than I want. We will use a special drywall mud from Murco called M-100, which I will provide. I can help you hold the ceiling pieces. I am hiring one person for this job. If you want to bring a helper build that into your price. Related to this I am having new electrical outlets and phone and internet jacks placed in the house. If you have electrical skills too, proven, then I could hire you to do that too. Otherwise there will be another contractor and you will coordinate with him and with me. Also put in a hub for the Ethernet cables in a central location, probably a wall in the living room. There are several hundred feet of ceiling to put in. My estimate is 800 sf, plus about 200 sf of walls. Also, some existing kitchen cabinets and the associated ceiling drywall has to come out and new drywall put in.
