Band Beyond Description Crazy Horse Presents Ages 21+ Band Beyond Description celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead legendary Europe '72 tour. It’s the 50th anniversary of the most legendary tour in rock ‘n roll history and we intend to celebrate in the most spectacular way possible. Throughout April and May of 1972, the Grateful Dead played 22 shows in Europe, leaving smoking craters all over the old continent. The band was at the absolute peak of its powers and also at a seminal time of change in its career. Pigpen’s final hurrah coincided with the induction of two new members in Keith and Donna Godchaux. A wealth of new material was introduced and preserved to tape for an eventual triple album. No one can recreate the level of magic that occurred during this time, but you know that Band Beyond Description will tap into the essence of this monumental musical adventure. Joining your trusty hosts Jonny Mojo and Gary Campus will be Mike Meagher on bass. Mike is as rock steady as they come and Europe ’72 was and is a very influential album for him so he couldn’t be more excited to grab this bull by the horns. We welcome back Scott Foreman from No Simple Highway on keys and vocals. Scott is eminently tasteful and if any man can channel both Pigpen and Keith, it’s him. Filling the Bobby role will be first time BBD guest Zach Jones of Lovin’ Dead. It’s always fun to bring a newbie into the mix and see how the chemistry unfolds. Rounding out the lineup on vocals will be Tim “Mighty” High and Erica Jeski. You might know that these Europe shows were marathon performances and we expect nothing less on this night. So you might want to stretch before you come and settle in for the long haul. You won’t want to miss a note!
