The Print Center is hiring for a Full-Time Screen Printing Press Operator. The Print Center has been established since 2005 and aims to service the Sacramento region with all printing needs. We produce anything from Signs, to Digital Print Media, to Garment Screen Printing and Embroidery. We strive for unmatched customer service, high quality production and timely production turnaround times. Job Duties Include: Full-Time Position requiring 8 hours a day (Shift; 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Mon-Fri) Ability to read and understand PO’s with information regarding print job. Ability to operate automatic press (this includes the ability to load and unload shirts, straightly and quickly, understanding pressures, angles, squeegee speeds, offsets, mesh size, ink thickness or runniness, and set-up sequence). Ability to Set-Up and Tear-Down Screens. Ability to tape-out screens. Ability to mix inks. Ability to set up multi color jobs/Simulated & CMYK. Ability to maintain steady, efficient and quick operating speeds (min. 300 units/hr with an average of 500-800/hr) Keep work area tidy. Tasks adjacent to Press Operator position other than set-up and printing include, cleaning the area, wiping the press down periodically, monthly greasing maintenance, scraping outing ink from screens, tear down of screens, squeegees and flood bars and pallet paper change periodically. Additional tasks may be requested from a press operator at times that involves the screen printing department. Additional information may be found in company handbook upon interview/hiring. Interview will consist of a sit-down interview and a demonstration of skills. The Print Center utilizes equipment that is necessary to obtain quality results and is always improving by investing in equipment to streamline production to the next level. We operate with 2 Automatic ROQ presses (True 8-color and True 10-color with smart flashes). We utilize a direct-to-screen filmmaker called Spyder by Exile. Our ROQ presses are equipped with a 3-point set-up pallet for set-up. Intercharge MD8 Gas Dryer (soon to be upgraded). Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Sick Pay: 24-hours per year renewed on January 1st annually. Vacation: 40-hours per year renewed on January 1st annually after first year probationary period. Pay: $18.00/hr+ Depending on Experience and Skillset. Sky is the limit if quality of work exceeds base expectations.
