Join us for a community run and Q&A with elite marathoner Nell Rojas and help us support Black Girls Code! Please join us on Wednesday, May 11th for a very special Renegade evening! We are so excited to welcome Nell Rojas to Oakland for a community run and Q&A at the shop. Nell Rojas is a professional runner from Boulder, CO who is passionate about using running to inspire other people of color to strive for their dreams. She is outspoken about encouraging all body types to not only run, but to run to the top of their ability. She recently finished 10th and 1st American at the Boston Marathon and is currently ranked as the #3 female marathoner in the US. She has her sights on the 2024 Olympic Marathon team and is honored to represent the latinx community. Renegade Running is committed to making the event available to everybody; if the $20 General Admission ticket is prohibitive, please select the free ticket. We are also offering an additional donation option if you would like to contribute more to Black Girls Code, or to support those who select the free ticket option. All proceeds will be donated to Black Girls Code, an Oakland-based organization that builds pathways for young women of color to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer programming and technology.
