Description
STAMFORD, CT — The property located at 1937 W. Main St. in Stamford, which is the site of a Stop & Shop grocery store, recently sold for $47 million, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Stop & Shop confirmed the sale to Patch, and said the deal simply represents a change in landlord.
"Stop & Shop's Stamford store at 1937 West Main Street will remain open, and we will continue to serve the local community as per usual," said Stop & Shop Communications and Community Relations Manager Maura O'Brien in an email.

The Advocate reported that the property was sold by Vinayaka Realty, which is based in New York City, to Pennsylvania-based NWDF Owner LLC.
The Stop & Shop at 1937 W. Main St. opened in 2006, the Advocate said, and employs around 90 people.
