NEW HAVEN, CT —There are 75 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New Haven schools for the week ending May 6, according to schools' spokesperson Justin Harmon.
The case numbers had been steadily increasing over the past month, but in the single digits. On April 14, there were 38 cases. On April 29, there were 39. A week later, there are nearly twice that number.
The numbers of cases by school are as follows:

Daniels School of International Communication, 3 Edgewood Creative Thinking through STEAM Magnet School, 5 Engineering and Science University Magnet School, 3 James Hillhouse High School, 6 Worthington Hooker Middle School, 1 King Robinson School, 1 Lincoln Bassett Community School, 3 John S. Martinez Sea and Sky STEM School, 1 Mauro Sheridan Science, Technology and Communications School, 6 Metropolitan Business Academy, 2 Nathan Hale School, 3 Ross Woodward Classical Studies School, 2 Sound School, 3 Augusta Lewis Troup School, 1 Truman School, 1 Wilbur Cross High School, 7 The New Haven Public Schools follow CDC guidance and Connecticut state mandates in the management of suspected COVID-19 cases.
