Press release from the Town of Wakefield: May 4, 2022 Wakefield's Town Charter states that "all legislative powers of the Town shall be exercised by an open Town Meeting." These meetings are typically held twice a year, in the spring and fall. The spring 2022 Town Meeting will take place on May 16, 2002, at 7 p.m. in the Galvin Middle School. Voters will consider a Warrant that contains 18 Articles. At their pre-Town Meeting review on May 5, members of the Finance Committee, Capital Planning Committee, and School Department will join the Town Administrator to outline the Articles that will be presented to voters.
