Bernard Nelson begs for money in Savannah, GA on River St. He holds a sign proclaiming he is a homeless veteran, despite barely being a veteran (dropped out of the army after two months yet makes it his whole personality) and homeless by choice for 4+ years now. He tells people a sob story about PTSD in order to appeal to their empathy, something he does not possess. Do not be fooled. Bernard is also a proud racist and Neo-Nazi. For proof, just check the tattoos on the underside of his forearms. One is a noose and the other is the insignia of a Nazi group. If you are a minority and give this guy money, he is laughing about it. Bernard enjoys threatening the lives of women and very young children. He keeps a rifle in his tent and tries to intimidate people with it. Last time he did this, he got jumped and beat up. He really ought to get rid of it as I doubt two months in the army ten years ago is enough to properly use it. He has a history of violently abusing women, as well. He keeps a pretty nice rifle in his tent that he could easily sell if he actually was in need. Instead he uses your money to eat at the most expensive five star restaurants, buy designer clothes, and feed his meth habit and alcoholism. He laughs at you all when he is not holding that sign. I have heard it from him personally. We thought you should be aware as he lies about these things constantly. He thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. Don’t be fooled.
