Taught by Nancy Unnasch, this workshop will offer step-by-step guidance on appliqué, reverse appliqué, couching, and embellishment. Embroidery Workshop 2 ~ Layers: Removing or Adding June 5th, from 1 to 4pm All skill levels welcome ~ Materials provided Workshop Ticket: $45 Rochester Art Center Members Ticket: $40 Taught by Nancy Unnasch, this workshop will offer step-by-step guidance on appliqué, reverse appliqué, couching, and embellishment, all of which can be added to any embroidery project. These techniques are suitable for any skill level and are a fun way to add an extra dimension to your stitchery. We will be working on a dish cloth or any cloth item that workshop participants wish to bring to along. Workshop tickets include the workshop, all materials, and same-day admission to the Rochester Art Center galleries. About the Instructor: Nancy Unnasch is a creative that enjoys mixed media and textiles. She learned how to embroider and use a sewing machine at around the age of 7. She grew up watching and helping her grandmother, mother, and sisters mend, make, and alter all sorts of things for the family and farm. She loves creating quilts for friends and family and continuing to learn new ways to add layers and depth to projects. She has a passion for antique and vintage textiles and paper that she incorporates into her mixed media art and embroidery. Her two-year-old son is her biggest fan, who loves to watch her work and is a fantastic helper. Questions for Nancy?
