SANTA CRUZ, CA — Two Santa Cruz comic book shops, Comicopolis and Atlantis Fantasyworld, will participate in Free Comic Book Day on Saturday. Over 2,000 stores around the country take part in Free Comic Book Day, which is intended to promote comics and attract new readers to independent comic book stores. As the name implies, stores will give away comic books to shoppers on Saturday, Comicopolis is located at 829 Front Street and Atlantis Fantasyworld is at 1020 Cedar Street in Santa Cruz.
