Join police chiefs and diverse community leaders as we launch the York County Safety Collab! While many have called for defunding the police or defending the police, we are taking a different approach. We are working to build meaningful realtionships with law enforcement and diverse community leaders while resourcing our police departments. A safe community for all is a key prerequisite for a thriving commuinty. We are SAFER TOGETHER! We will discuss plans to: Facilitate community engagement which includes realtionship building and constructive public dialogue.Ensure our law enforcement is well-trained, accredited, and has equipment that facilitates safe policing. Introduce forward-thinking and innovative ideas and cross-sector partnerships.This event will last 60 minutes and include a brief presentation and time for Q&A.
