BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore firefighter plans to adopt a kitten he helped rescue from a storm drain recently. Around 7 a.m. Tuesday, the Baltimore Fire Department was dispatched for a rescue at Orleans Street and Broadway. When firefighters arrived, they found a kitten that somehow fell down a storm drain and couldn't get out. Several agencies were called in to assist with the rescue, including animal control. The kitten was then taken to the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter to make sure it was OK. According to the Baltimore Fire Department, one of the firefighters who helped rescued the kitten now plans to give it a "furr-ever" home by adopting it.
