PITTSBURGH, PA — Penguins goalie Casey DeSmith is out for the remainder of the playoffs, Head Coach Mike Sullivan said.
DeSmith "had a successful core muscle surgery" Friday morning, the team said.
All-Star goaltender Tristan Jarry is "day to day" in his rehabilitation from a lower body injury, according to Pens Inside Scoop.

The Penguins and New York Rangers are tied 1-1 in Game 2 in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Game 3 is in Pittsburgh on Saturday night.
