Press release from San Diego County Sheriff's Department: May 4, 2022 On Wednesday afternoon, May 4th, several juveniles were involved in a fight near the 1400 block of N. Santa Fe Ave in the city of Vista. During the altercation a vehicle was stolen belonging to one of the juveniles. The victim began to chase after his stolen car as it was being driven away. The car crashed into another vehicle a short distance away. The victim chased the fleeing suspect and another altercation occurred. The victim was subsequently stabbed, and the suspect fled the scene. The victim was air lifted to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Detectives are continuing the investigation.
