STILLWATER, MN — Blue Sun Soda Shop, a company known for its crazy flavors, is set to open a new location this weekend in downtown Stillwater. Blue Sun Soda Shop is planning to host a grand opening at 11 a.m. Saturday to throw open the doors to its new space at 126 Main St. South, the former site of Uncommon Cents. The grand-opening event is scheduled to run until 7 p.m. Saturday and will feature Twin Cities favorite Billy the Soda Jerk from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the event posting on Facebook. Blue Sun Soda Shop calls itself the "world's largest soda shop" and "Minnesota's original craft soda shop and candy store." It has locations in Spring Lake Park, Richfield and Bloomington, and plans to expand into the western suburbs, the Twin Cities Pioneer Press reports. Average Rent Up 11.4% In Washington Co. Since Pandemic Started: Report The brand says it offers "thousands of flavors of soda," including hundreds of types of root beer, ginger ale and orange soda, as well as buffalo-wing soda and bleu cheese soda. "If you can dream up a soda flavor, chances are we have it," Blue Sun's website says. The company's shops also offer a huge selection of candy, sweets, toys and puzzles. "If you have a sweet tooth, Blue Sun's candy store has you covered," the website says.
