Press release from the City of Oklahoma City: May 4, 2022 The Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department is hiring hundreds of seasonal employees to staff aquatic centers, recreation centers, camps, athletic programs and more this summer. Applicants ages 16 and older are encouraged to pre-apply at okc.gov/careers before attending the May 7 event. The summer job fair is being held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Pete White Health & Wellness Center, 4021 S. Walker Ave. Open positions include (all references below are starting pay): Incentives may include sign-on and referral bonuses, hourly pay increases per month and an end-of-season bonus. "Working for the City is a fun way to make money over the summer break," said Recreation Manager Christopher Hamilton. "The environment is fast-paced, and the job is meaningful. It's a great way to learn new skills to build a résumé." The Oklahoma City Department of Parks & Recreation manages five aquatic centers, 11 recreation centers, three senior centers, three event centers and three sports complexes.
