Press release from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry: May 4, 2022 The College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF)-the most distinguished institution in the nation that focuses on the study of the environment-will confer more than 380 degrees during Commencement ceremonies at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College. ESF will confer approximately 340 bachelor's degrees, with about 47 students receiving master's and doctoral degrees. Our graduates have worked hard to reach this day, and we're thrilled to celebrate their success with them, their families, and friends," said President Joanie Mahoney. "We know our students' time at ESF is only the beginning for them and we are excited to see where life takes them next." Commencement festivities are scheduled throughout the week: Undergraduate Class Marshals leading the degree candidates in the Commencement procession are Mark Dunckel of Hubbardsville, New York (Environmental Resources Engineering) and Alexa Labossiere of Lincoln, Rhode Island (Environmental Science). Hannah Doktor of Wayne, New Jersey (Environmental Biology) will be the student speaker. Julia Rushton of North Kingstown, Rhode Island (Environmental Science), is the Coordinator of Graduating Activities. During the ceremony, departmental honors will be bestowed upon the top students in each of the College's departments. ESF Departmental Scholars are: Student Chancellor's Award honorees are: ESF will also hold commencement ceremonies on May 14 at its Ranger School in Wanakena, New York, where the College will award Associate in Applied Science degrees.
