WEYMOUTH, MA — Grocery shopping is now a little easier for Stop & Shop customers in Weymouth. The East Weymouth location this week began offering contact-free pickup in which customers can place their order via www.stopandshop.com or the Stop & Shop app, then have their items loaded into their vehicles within four hours. "We're excited to respond to our customers' needs by offering contact-free pickup services at our location right here in East Weymouth," shares Bill Norvish Jr., Store Manager of the East Weymouth Stop & Shop. "We want to emphasize the value of shopping on stopandshop.com as an ideal resource to make shopping easy and seamless for customers." Customers will be able to schedule a pickup time and park in a designated pickup spot to let the store associates know that they have arrived. Customers are asked to have their trunk or car door open for associates to place groceries directly into their vehicle. Customers are asked to wear masks and limit the amount of people in the vehicle for the pickup. All Stop & Shop pickup associates will be wearing masks and follow all of the same sanitizing precautions as its in-store associates, including surface sanitizing and regular hand washing. A $30 minimum is required on all pickup orders and a $2.95 pickup fee is applicable on all orders.
