Job Description: J&M Flooring is seeking full-time flooring apprentices to join our growing team! We are looking for dependable, motivated candidates who are able to take direction, work with little supervision, and exceed goals. This position consists of demolition of old floor coverings, preparation of subfloor for new floor coverings and the tile installation process. Candidates must be willing to learn how to operate machinery and power tools. We are willing to train the right candidate (no prior flooring experience necessary). This is a full-time position which requires some travel and overnight shifts. This position reports to the Project Manager. Specific Duties include: Effective and regular communication with on-site personnel and project manager Making sure floor preparation meets manufactures recommendations Ensuring work quality meets company and customers’ expectations Responsible for all equipment and materials The ideal candidate must have the following skills, competencies, and requirements: Ability to prioritize work to meet established deadlines Must have a positive attitude and flexible schedule Applicants must be able to do physical work and be able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often Able to safely work with a wide variety of equipment Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Wage & Benefits: Competitive wages Opportunity to earn overtime, holiday and performance bonuses Competitive benefit package including health, 401k, PTO, 7 paid company holidays Career advancement opportunities Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 per hour Please submit your resume via email.
