Urgent-Need someone with plumbing experience to fix shower

My handyman remove the shower knob in the bathtub to put in a new knob since the old shower was leaking. He did not use the Moen tool but now it is too late and there is some plastic stuck at the back of the pipe and the new knob won't go in. Please see the attached photo. The blue plastic part at the back of the pipe is what needs to be removed so the new know can fit it. If you have experience with this and know how to do this, you can come now and I will pay $100. The water is currently turned off so this is urgent to fix so we can get the water turned on.
