Job Summary: Duties: Pick up and deliver parts and materials, run errands, assist in keeping yard clean. Check and prepare service trucks for use. Clean and pressure wash equipment prior to repairs. Maintain shop equipment and tools. Keep shop and yard storage area clean and orderly. Operate forklift to move pallets and other equipment. Perform various tasks as required. This is an entry level position to give candidates the opportunity to see what opportunities Knife River has to offer in the service, construction, trucking and aggregate departments. Hours 8:00 am-4:30 pm M-F Minimum Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude needed to perform work safely and productively. Some knowledge of the care of and safe operation of trucks and light motor driven equipment is a plus. Must be reliable & dependable and work well with others, including fellow team members and customers. Valid driver’s license in good standing required.
