Description

Full time or part-time furniture delivery, assembly, and warehousing, position with Blackledge Furniture, Corvallis's oldest and largest home furnishings store. Duties include home delivery, freight receiving, warehousing, product assembly, service, and general building and vehicle maintenance. Applicants should have good independent work initiative and communication skills and the ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds, and safely deliver and place items into customer's homes. Good driving record, and previous truck driving experience preferred. Prior furniture delivery assembly and general woodworking experience is also preferred, but not required. Full-time work hours are 8:35 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., five days per week on a fixed schedule, but other part-time schedules may be available. Compensation: starting at $17.50+ per hour depending on experience and skills, including a monthly safety and performance bonus. Job Requirements include: Good physical condition and the ability to safely lift and carry up to 60lb bulky items A basic understanding of woodworking hand and power tools. Some previous woodworking, carpentry or building maintenance experience preferred. High School diploma or GED required, some college work preferred. Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and prior truck driving experience preferred. Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and DMV record check. Applicants should have the ability and experience needed to assemble and carefully inspect products, and to correct minor woodworking problems. Good communication, personal appearance and customer interaction skills preferred. Specific job training in work procedures and job processes will be provided.
