Description

Sunny is an 11 year old male Yellow Lab and Chesapeake mix. He is a GREAT dog. I adopted him on March 27th because the previous owner abandoned him. However, my senior cat is really not happy with the dog around. To clarify, he's good with cats, but he is stressing my senior out majorly. About Sunny: He loves to rub against you. He will tell you what he wants if you ask him, 'what do you want?' (he'll walk right over and show you, whether its a chew bone, to go potty, or even when he's feeling naughty to eat the cat food, which of course I tell him no lol). He likes to play with his frisbee at the dog park, he's pretty spry for an old dog. He could do with some recall training. Also, he gets fed away from my other dog because he can be a little food aggressive with bones and food. You can feed treats to him and another dog together with no problem. He isn't kennel trained, but can't hop a fence and stays gated in the kitchen during the day with my little dog. I fill a kong with peanut butter, give him chews or bones. He'll ask for them. I feed him twice a day. He probably needs more recall training. Oh, and he loves to stick his head out of the car window. You: Please be a responsible adult who can afford a doggo in your home, with a yard. If you have a cat that is skittish, Sunny is not your dog, that's part of the reason I'm rehoming him. If you like to camp and go to dog parks, Sunny is your dog! I'm trying to find his second 'forever' home and thinking of myself as a foster at this point. He is free because I am not rehoming him for a pretty penny. In fact, I would love to be his forever home, but with the cat and the move I'm trying to do right by Sunny by finding him a good home.
