Weymouth Man Critically Injured In Fairhaven Cruiser Crash

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth man was in critical condition at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston Wednesday afternoon after the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said a Fairhaven police cruiser struck him Tuesday night. The 32-year-old man was a pedestrian walking on the roadway near the 7-Eleven around 11 p.m. Police told WPRI-TV that the officer stopped immediately and called for help. The man was treated at the scene before brought to St. Luke's Hospital, and later transferred to Brigham & Women's. The station said the officer involved in the crash has been placed on administrative leave.
