Anyone here want to play surf-rock? I'm 50-ish and play bass and/or baritone guitar, looking for guitar players and a drummer. I picture working up a set of covers based on the old classic (The Ventures, Dick Dale, The Surfaris, etc) and more recent bands (Man or Astroman?, Los Straightjackets), and then writing some of our own tunes as well as doing surf covers of non-surf songs. Would eventually like to add some electronic elements and possibly vocals. Looking to rehearse once a week on weekends/evenings, gig occasionally and do some home recording. This would be a great side project or a good band for folks without a lot of time to commit to it.
