Description
WINTER HAVEN, FL — Winter Haven drivers can expect heavy traffic this week along U.S. Highway 17 because of traffic signals stuck on flash at the intersection of Publix and St. Joseph Catholic Church, said Winter Haven Police Department.
The impact from a weekend crash involving a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 17 near Avenue M Northwest caused the traffic lights to experience operational problems, said authorities.
Law enforcement officials said drivers should consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
If an alternate route is unavailable, give yourself extra travel time.
Winter Haven police did not give a timeframe of when the traffic signal is expected to operate normally, but they did say work is being done on the traffic light.
