July 22, 2021, Southern California Automotive Group, LLC bought RP Enterprises and rebranded as ARS Collision under Adam Berger. Adam brings 22 years of experience working for the Volkswagen Group as a transformational leader in both Lamborghini and Audi. ARS Collision may be a new name for the shop, but it also marks a period of going back to the start. We're focusing on high-end, creative bodywork, restorations as well as collision damages to minor and, major cosmetic defects. Benefits: Competitive pay rates Steady work, high pay, clean respectful work environment Two weeks Paid Vacation Sign on Bonus Position Duties/ Responsibilities Painter: Auto body painters must communicate with other employees to plan and execute repair and painting jobs on a variety of vehicles. Auto body painters or required to have knowledge of specialty painting techniques. Painters will need collision repair capabilities as well. Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment. Ensure paint area (prep station, paint booth, etc.) and paint mix/storage rooms are clean, and all refinish products are stored as directed. Body Man: Repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards. Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards. Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received. Prepares vehicles for body repair work. Notifies management of any additional repairs needed. Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time. Prepper/Helper: The auto body prepper is responsible for providing correct technical preparation like inspecting, prepping and polishing of vehicles in order to get them ready to be painted. Help with reassembly of vehicle -- replace final moldings, trim and detail pieces. May help with general maintenance of paint booths. Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for paint application. Assist Paint Technician by preparing vehicles and parts for painting using proper techniques, equipment and materials. All Positions: Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair. Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management. Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles. Ensure shop cleanliness, tools are stored properly and maintained. EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS MAY VARY DEPENDING ON POSITION: • Prior automotive painting and refinishing process experience required. • Prior paint-prep experience preferred -- sanding, masking, prepping and blending. • High School diploma/GED preferred. Collision tech graduate preferred. • Knowledge of auto manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes. • Ability to receive direction and work well with others. • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential physical requirements include: • Ability to stoop, bend and kneel, squat, kneel and pulling • Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping • Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) • Standing, sitting and walking • Performing repetitive motions • Visual acuity for color matching Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Must have a valid California Driver's License and be legally allowed to work in the United States.
