Description
I have over 50 years experience making clothes and over 30 years experience teaching sewing. My classes are for beginners, those who have some basic sewing skills and experience, or anyone who just needs a refresher course. You will learn basic sewing machines and how to operate, sewing terminology, fabric choices, pattern choices, pattern layout, garment construction, tips and tricks, etc.
One-on-one instruction provided. Classes meet once a week, but you can come more often if you prefer. Cost is $30 and classes are two hours long. I can provide you a sewing machine, but it is better to learn on your own machine if you have one. You will need to purchase some basic supplies which we will go over in your first class. You will also be responsible for buying your patterns, thread and fabric for the garments you make.
For safety purposes, we will first meet in a public place and get to know each other. Because of COVID, masks will be required. Limited classes available late mornings and early afternoons, 7 days a week. Classes are ongoing, year round.
