POSITION DEFINITION Imperial Building Maintenance Inc. is looking for a highly effective entrepreneurial manager. The Area Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for developing a high-morale people-oriented organization operating by the rules that meet or exceed customer expectations while achieving specific quality objectives. WHAT WE ARE OFFERING Full-Time position – 2:30 pm to 11 pm (Monday to Friday) JOB DESCRIPTIONS • Optimize and oversee the operational aspects of multiple accounts to ensure efficiency. • Constantly monitor and train operation team on how to deal with employees to ensure overall satisfaction. • Review weekly sites budget performance and enforce recommendations for improvement. • Visit accounts sites within your area of operation to ensure our standards are met and all employees are well trained. • Assigns personnel to accounts. • Lead a large team of employees towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals. • Ensure compliance with the company's policies and operational guidelines. • Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions. • Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve it. • Uses computer products to track work. These products include work tickets, project status reports, and hours-by-employee reports. ROLE-BASED COMPETENCIES • Bilingual (English and Spanish). • Experience in managing an unskilled labor force in a labor-intensive industry. • Janitorial industry experience is a plus. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in people management and leadership role. • Flexibility to respond to customer and employee needs during non-business hours. • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record are required to operate company vehicles to and from customer work sites. EDUCATION NEEDED • 4-year bachelor's degree minimum (preferred) or equivalent level of professional experience. • Master's degree is a plus. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS • High five-figure base salary.
