Description

Press release from the Weston Public Schools: December 7, 2020 Dear Weston High School families, "As you know, the High School had to move to a remote model last Friday because of insufficient staffing. Over the weekend we have been monitoring our staffing levels to determine whether we can open Weston High School on Monday. After careful consideration, we have determined that we still do not have enough faculty and staff members available to come into the building to adequately ensure safety, supervision, and academic programming. Thus, we will be continuing with remote learning for all high school students on Monday Dec. 7th, Tuesday Dec. 8th, and Wednesday Dec. 9th. We are optimistic that we can reopen the High School on Thursday Dec. 10th. The High School will move to a remote schedule while the building is closed. Students will not be divided into "Bobcat" and "Lynx" cohorts and classes will be longer, encompassing a full school day. Principal Paul Peri will send out the High School schedule in a follow-up communication. All other schools will be open on Monday. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility." Sincerely, Dr. Midge Connolly Superintendent This press release was produced by the Weston Public Schools. The views expressed are the author's own.
