Press release from the Town of Weston:
August 11, 2020
The Weston Town Clerk is seeking residents 18+ to help the community by working in the three upcoming elections. Poll workers are responsible for checking in registered voters, answering general questions, and checking out the voters after the ballot has been submitted. With the anticipated increase in absentee/vote by mail ballots this year, workers will also assist with that process. Many of Weston's election workers are considered to be in the at-risk population for COVID-19. Because of this, there is additional need for help with the elections. Safety measures will be in place, including PPE and physical distancing.
The upcoming elections where election workers are needed are:
September 1st State Primary (7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) September 10th Town Election (8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) November 3rd Presidential Election (7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) There are two polling locations for the state and national elections. A variety of shifts are available and this is a paid position.
Please call Town Clerk Deborah Davenport at 781-786-5015 or email at [email protected] if you are interested or have any questions.
