Press release from The JAX Chamber: LifeSouth Community Blood Centers today announced it will host a blood drive with Farah & Farah, a Jacksonville-headquartered law firm, on December 22. The blood drive will be open to the community from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 100 N. Laura Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. Currently, all blood types are needed, especially type O donors. There is no substitute for human blood; every day, Northeast Florida hospitals rely on blood that is given by healthy individuals. Farah & Farah regularly gives back to the community by donating time and money to organizations that contribute to public health and safety. The firm has partnered with LifeSouth to host multiple blood drives in recent years, and its employees hope to make a difference for local hospitals and the patients they serve this holiday season. "Farah & Farah has been part of Jacksonville since 1979, so we feel a moral obligation to give back to the communities in which we live and work. Hosting a blood drive is a prime opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to our neighbors. There is nothing more important than giving back to support the greater good," said Eddie Farah.
