Description
Join us for a ramen intensive where Hieu Than (Kin) will show the ropes on from-scratch noodles, flavorful broths, and the best condiments. Join us for a night of ramen! In 2015, Chef Hieu Than opened Kin, which became beloved for its laid-back, BYOB atmosphere, creative dumplings, and -- most importantly -- its clever, hearty, and one-of-a-kind bowls of gourmet ramen. Before the restaurant's COVID-induced closure in 2021, he built a loyal and well-deserved following and is back to lead this soup-to-nuts intensive. Join us for an intimate demonstration of how to make every element of the perfect bowl, from scratch-made noodles all the way through the traditional condiments that accompany. Your ticket includes a ramen dinner and wine. About the InstructorHieu Than is a New Orleans native with an already impressive resume and French Culinary Institute graduate. In New York, he staged in the kitchens of both Tom Colicchio and Paul Liebrandt before returning to New Orleans, where he worked with Sue Zemanick at Gautreau’s. His skill set showcases both classic French and modernist techniques but without the affectations that often accompany these approaches. He opened Kin in spring 2015, and in 2018, he was nominated by the James Beard Foundation for Best Chef: South. FAQsWhen is check-in?
