The Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 80 years in the Shreveport-Bossier Community.
The Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting themed “Black Excellence” will recognize the businesses and sponsors who have partnered with the Chamber to accomplish a great number of milestones throughout the year. We will also present the Herschel Brown Civil Rights Award and the John Wilson Trail Blazer Award to two individuals that have made a positive impact on the community. We will also recognize businesses in the community with our Businessperson of the Year, Milestone Award, and Impact Awards.
We will recap many of the successes that occurred in past years and unveil some new initiatives for 2022. Our guest speaker for this year event is Regional Administrator Ted James recently appointed by President Joe Biden. Administrator James is over Region VI- Serving Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas for U.S. Small Business Administration.
